Renewing requires the same procedure as that of a new H1-B
Here are the details:
If you are applying for an H-1B visa, you need to present:

==>the complete petition submitted by your prospective employer (including the Labor Condition Application and I129)
==> The originals of your university diplomas, mark sheets and any certificates you may have (secondary school information is not required).
==>One set of photocopy of all the above documents.
Applicants for H-4 /L2 visas should submit:
---------------------------------------------------------
==> their marriage registration certificate,
==> their wedding invitation and wedding ceremony photos. (For people who are getting just 'Civil' marriage done, take a few pictures at the time you guys do the registered marriage and submit them)
==> A good quality photocopy or the original of their spouse's passport – all 36 pages. If a copy of the passport is submitted, it should be a GOOD copy and the photo must be clearly identifiable.
==>Copy of the spouse’s I797 petition.
==> A letter from the spouse’s employer confirming continued employment.
Every applicant needs to bring in the above documents along with a completed application form – DS156 and their passport and a passport size photograph with a light blue background.
Apart from this, every male applicant between the age of 16-45 must complete the forms-DS157 in addition to DS156.

Both drafts payable to American Consulate General.
Courier Fees:
