hope this helps I filed for my 7th year ext without the other fees pnly paid $185
You can also go to the form I129 and go page 27 Answer 5 and tick extension of previous H!B

I could not find any reference anywhere about paying only $185 fee. I think the H1 extension fee is still $1500 for a company with over 25 employees. I will be applying for the extension because of this EB2 unavailability crap and my h1 6th year is expiring on Oct 1st.
Anybody who have received extension beyond the 1 year increment? I read they can give you extension for as long as 3 years even after the initial 6 years of H1.

I have a questions about Data collection fees and if anyone can answer, I would appreciate it.
On page 27 under the list of exemptions, it says
Is this an amended petition that does not contain any request for extentions of stay?
I am on H1b and completing 6years by November 2006. I have visa and stamp on passport until that time, but moving to a new job now. Am I subjected to the fee now or not? In my case it is only change of employers, but no extention of stay.
