Fee Bill Question

Hi CP Gurus,

My I-140 was approved on May 12th. Even now if I call NVC automated sytem and enter my I-140 receipt number it says no record of case. Then I talked to a nice lady at NVC and she gave me my case number after confirming my name and birth date. SHe had no idea why query through my I-140 receipt number is not working. Anyone on the same boat? Should I be worried or just assume some glitch with their system is creating this problem? But good news is if i use my NVC case number to query it gives me the staus.

Second quesiton when I enter my MDRxxx case number it says they sent my fee bill to lawyer on May 21st. Still my lawyer has not recived it. Normally how long does it take to receive the fee bill after NVC generated it.

Normally a week or 10 days. From what you say, it is way too long. You may
again talk to a representative at the NVC and explain the situation and see
what they say.

Do you know when NVC created your case number. My I140 has been approved recently (6/22) and I am wondering when NVC should receive my case and create a NVC #...

While I do not have a reply to your query.. I have read in the CP forum that some people's docs got delayed due to an old Attorney address.. I hoep that is not the case with you..

I would appreciate a reply.
