Fee as one check or multiple ?

Hi ,
Does it matter when filing 485 +EAD + AP to send one check or 3 checks. Is one preferred over the other and what is the impact and any experiences in this regard would be useful.

I would prefer a separate check for each application/petition. If something is wrong with just one of them and it can not be accepted, then CIS will not accept all others paid by the same check. They need exact fee and they do not issue refunds. If that happens, whole package will be returned to applicant.
Do not forget to write the application code (e.g., I-485) on each check.
