Hello to all and thank you in advance for any replies. I am preparing an I-129F for filing. It seems to be an IMBRA compliant form (revision date 05/23/06), but I am going to submit an affidavit anyway (did not meet through a broker, no criminal convictions whatsoever). Unfortunately, I am in Alabama (relocated after Katrina), so I must file with TSC, apparently K1 hell. I read another post which stated that all I-129fs filed there are transferred to VSC. I called USCIS' customer service line, but, of course, they denied that there is any backlog at TSC.
Is it true that the I-129fs are being transferred to VSC?
Like everyone else, I am trying to avoid delays. Is it possible to (1) FedEx my petition to the Courier Address listed on the TSC's website; (2) provide pre-paid (my firm has a FedEx account) FedEx envelopes for the various transmittals between service centers and the NVC? The Embassy's website (Vladivostok -- although only Moscow processes the visas) states that a petitioner can request that the NVC send the embassy a telegram notifying it of the approval of a K1 petition - has anyone heard of this?
I know that we must all wait, but if there is anything, I mean anything that I can do to speed the process (other than making sure that my application is as complete and accurate as is humanly possible) please let me know. I have even considered having a Senator or Congressman (or woman) file my petition (I have a lot of political friends), but I have the impression that even Senators and Congressmen (and women) are treated like dirt by USCIS. Again, I thank, in advance, all who reply.
