I have read several posts about these checks.
I wonder if there is any difference in the depth of background checks performed by INS/FBI.... at the time of I 485 vs N400.?
In other words is the depth to which they check your background before getting GC the same as when you apply for your citizenship.
Some folks have talked about problems more than 10 years ago. The reason I ask is if a person had a problem before starting the GC process and was not discovered by INS do you think they could find it during the citizenship process?
