FBI sent FP No letter

I called FBI and they say they have sent report of FP on Dec 8,2002. But to date I have not recieved any info neither fron INS nor the message changed on Online case status. Does I need to take some letter no from FBI/ call INS or just wait. When I went for FP the technician told that I will get lettr in this regard in 4-5 weeks.
 
It's normal.

FBI only sent the FP result to INS. INS may not update
FP info until GC approval

When INS said that it send the report, it mean that the report was send to the INS. There will no status changes for giving FP. You will see status change only if there is an RFE
 
These days FBI is sending report to INS ASAP. Do not get worried if INS has not updated the info. INS has a lot of backlog. Updating info about FP may be secondary, particularly from NSC.
