FBI record check validity

Does anyone know how long the FBI checks are valid for? We contacted the FBI about status of record check and they said that mine was done on Jan. 3rd 2003 (primary applicant) and that of my husband was done on Dec. 27th 2002. Our's is a Feb 2002 RD and is still not approved, no RFE, 2 FPs. We were wondering if our case is not being touched because the FBI record check is not valid anymore? Does anyone know how long the FBI record checks are valid for?

FBI name check...

It seems there is no validity period for FBI name check. However IBIS name check done by USCIS has a validity of 90 days (it used by 35 days). May be yours got stuck in that IBIS name check when it was only 35 days.

That is true. We got our 2nd FP notice after my husband applied for his 2nd EAD and his EAD got approved last Fri., our case were transfered to local INS this Mon to schedule an interview.

We are NIW case and 2002 July RD.
