FBI/PCC - Question, please help me...

:confused: :confused: I have applied for my canadian PR in Buffalo,Ny. I had sent in my application adn last month i got my AOR along with the file number.

Also, i have now started the process of collecting the PCC and FBI reports.

PCC

For my PCC, i have filled out the forms and send in the documents to the indian embassy in Washington, DC.

QUESTION?

1) How long do they usually take to give us the PC

2) Why do they need the original passport. I had sent mine along with the docs.

Went to the local police station, and got the fingerprints in a card, i will be sending all of the information , along with the fees and the letter.

QUESTION?

How long does the FBI take to send back the results.


All responses greatly appreciated. Please let me know of any experiences , answers you may have ?

Ans: Indian consulate send a req to india and wait for 40 days. If they don't get it with 40 days, then they will issues PCC after that.. That means aprox 45-55 days.

2) Why do they need the original passport. I had sent mine along with the docs.

Ans: Before the issue PCC they will stamp it in your passport.

Ans: 4-6 weeks but some times it takes atleast couple of months

I have few concerns abt the pcc.I have sent my two appications to embassy for getting a new passport and also pcc.now my concern is do they need the passport for both of them,i have sent the passport.I have been told that pcc is just a certificate a form.But if it should be stamped on passport,which passport they will use the old one or the new one?

It would appear that you didn't read the instructions for Buffalo. You were supposed to include your PCC and FBI prints with the application. There is a good chance that you will be getting your application back.

Hi.. you are really mistaken.Iam talking abt the indian embassy,i have applied two applications to consulate general of india.For new passport as my passport is expiring and the pcc.

Applied FBI clearances/PCC....Got State

I have already sent in my FBI clearances to Virginia, i have also applied for my Indian PCC and its already 6 days now..

In the meantime, i just got a local police clearance too !

I will be sending all of the docs, as soon as possible.
