FBI Name Check?

Any one can tell me how long can this FBI name check be?
Is there a way to check the status of the name check?

You need to send an email to FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov with your name, date of birth, A# and, I think, your Social Security # (not sure if that's needed but I included it in my email).

You will receive an email in 3 or 4 months. Currently they are replying to December 2004 emails.

Where did you got the above email and other information?

You can find this (correct) FBI e-mail address in almost every thread in this forum. I don't understand why are you doublechecking someone who was kind enough to give you the information you requested. All best.

I am not double checking or have any doubt about the email and information you kindly replied. Just wondering if it is also on CIS website or FBI website.

By the way, do you know usually how long this name check last? I mean average.

If you look through the website you will see that a lot of people have been stuck in name check for years. For others it can be a matter of months.

What is A#? Is this you I-485 reciept number?
