I sent 2 inquires one on 25 Oct and one on 8 Nov. I haven't heard anything so far
I have sent an email on Oct 8th about Name check status and I got a response on Dec 11th 2004. So I think you guys should be hearing something soon. Just keep in mind that the Name Check Dept will spend lot of there time on Processing and they spend very less time on Email response. I also heard that they are now responding to only Emails and they are ignoring all other modes of communications. Hope this helps!
Maybe if everyone would stop sending status enquiries they would be able to get on with performing background checks.

Don't call them as one of my friend did call them and they got really upset as they are getting disturbed by lots of lots of unnessary calls. Calling them is not going to help in anyway and it will slow down the process considerably as the department is already short staffed. So its better to email them and allow them to work on the regular name check rather than wasting time answering calls and not working on Actual Name Checks. My 2 Cents!
