FBI name check pending since apr'04

Friends,

I got an email from FBI regarding my name check that they received the name check request from USCIS on Apr/21/2004, but it is currently in pending status. However, my spouse who applied (I-485) 4 months after me, has been checked by FBI and they have reported it to USCIS. It is close to 11 months and I am concerned about it.

Could you please suggest on what course of action that I need to take or just wait for things to roll on its own pace..?

When did you send an email to FBI name check department? I sent them an email on 3rd Dec, 04 and I haven't hear back from them since then.

Which country are you from? Sometimes, the origin delays the process. I think you should contact your local senator or congressman and get more information about the delay.
