FBI Name check - No request from USCIS

I sent a letter to nncp and got an email from chief-nncp, saying that
they did not receive a request from USCIS. I am devastated! I have
been waiting since Dec'2002, and this is what is going on!!
I know that folks have been handling this on the VSC boards.
I want to check with CSC folks if anyone has gone through this
ordeal i.e.
USCIS is waiting for Namecheck but FBI says it has no request..
Any comments/info/advise would be greatly appreciated...

Hi blade_runner,

How did you contact them "chief-nncp" ? Are you talking abt. the regular Namecheck email format or is this another different email format and different email address. Any help is appreciated !!

i followed rahul kumar's name check experience and other posts..
unfortunately i started too late.. my 1st email was in jan... prob'ly another
month before they reply to that.. did foipa and then sent letters (certified,
priority) etc to hardy/hooton/cannon, mentioning how long i have been
waiting (since dec'02)..

i am really hoping to hear from someone from CSC who might have faced
the "no request from USCIS" case.. anybody?

and now for something completely different

As if all this werent interesting enough, my congressperson gets back to me (re: my request for help from a month back) saying that my NC was actively being reviewed by the FBI!!
NNCP says no request from uscis, congressperson says FBI is actively reviewing my NC! whats going on?! :confused: :confused:
