My wife has called the FBI number, and found that her FP did not reach the FBI. She has done her FP on 04/05 and the FBI has no information about her, what should we do?
please advise, thanks

Try and go back to the ASC where

you got her FP done is the only thing I can think of. They might be able to help you there.

Thanks but it did not work

We went back to that office today where my wife has done her fingerprinnt and they say that they have nothing to do with the fact that the FBI did not receive her fingerprint.
They say that she might wait for another notice which could be in another 6 month!!

Does anyone has an idea about how to deal with this weird situation?

thanks

call the iio or the INS customer service center

In case it has been an unusual long time from the time of fingerprinting and still the FBI has recvd no information, then you shoud either call and speak to the iio at your service center or call the INS custoerm service center at 1-800-375-5283

was it done manually? If so, then wait for some more time

I had my fingerprints taken manually whereas my wife\'s was done the the electonic way. There were two counters, one electronic and the other manual. We were assigned to each of these counters when our names were called.Nothing specific , but by chance i was assigned to the manual one.
When I called up the FBI after a week, they had my wife\'s data but not mine.
After around two weeks, when I called FBI again, they had my info.
It seems that the manual cases are sent by post whereas the electronic ones are sent on-line to the FBI.

can this work?

Can the courtsey copy work to get my wife another FP?

Would the lawyer give this to me?

We have given our own copy to the FP office when we did the FP.

They gave us a receipt after we finished the FP, but I dont see it of much use since the FP is lost into oblivion.

thanks for the reply

Not sure whether your lawyer will give, but we did it with courtesy copies only.

In case you get the coutesy copy, call FBI again, before going for another FP, to make sure that the original FPs are really lost. They could be in transit, particularly if done manually.
