i have faxed to all judiciary committe members requesting to separate legal immigrant isuue from illegal immigrants.
i dont think my fax wud effect senators except Sen.John Cornyn, since I am frm texas. Still I faxed the others just like that.

If u guys live in state where judiciary members r included, pls take 5 minutes
and request to seperate us from illegal immigrants.
i ll post the text of my fax in this thread tomorow (its in my office desktop, my boss will kill me if he knows tht i have been typing this letter and faxing it using office fax )

Pls post in this thread, after u fax the same, so tht we know who all r covered.
make sure u use ur own words.

Subject: Please dont tie-up legal Immigrant bill with illegal immigrant benefit bills.

Dear Senator xxx:

I have a masters degree in Engineering from a US university and working in USA for the last 3 years on H1-B Visa.
I have applied for US green card in early and my labor has been waiting for approval In Dallas Backlog Centre and Its been more than 2 years now.

When we started to see some light at the end of the tunnel due to the various bills benefetting Legal Immigrants like us, I read in a News paper that Judiciary Commitee has put our bills with the Illegal Immigrant benefit bill.As you know, most members in House Of Rep is against giving benefits to Illegal Immigrants, I see this kind of bill have a lesser chance of becoming law. Thus we, Legal, highly educated, law abiding, tax paying people have to suffer if the bill goes down just because of Illegal Immigrant Issue.

I request you to give importance to the problems Legal Immigrants as same as Illegal Immigrants and dont make us go down just because of some other people's wrong doings.

Dont feel it bad. Most of the users may have already done it like me. I havent received any response from the faxes I sent. I will update here if I get any.
