I had sent in 2 faxes to VSC on 4/12 and 4/19 requesting them to process my AP as it has been pending since Nov 3. They have faxed back the std reply, that mine doesn't warrant expediate request.
It mentions CASE TYPE as I485!!!! :( while I have in upper case stated in the subject/ref, that this request is regarding I-131 TRAVEL DOCUMENT.
Anybody else with similar expereince.

Our AP: ND Nov 25 - still not approved

I have seen January AP being approved.

Yesterday my friend's Dec 29 AP was approved.

Random processing in AP?

Where will this end?

At least something like this should be on FIFO basis..

By the way, I also sent expedite request last month. Received standard reply...

In the reply, was the case type mentioned as I-485?

It mentioned I-131

Hi OmGV,

I checked the reply. It mentions I-131 as case type.

I think it must be some kind of error!

Relax, I checked couple of other posts with dates before mine pending.

Its usual random processing. Nothing abnormal.

Actually, I would be more concerned if they become FIFO - as that will be a paradox..

My third fax to VSC requesting expedited processing of my AP did the trick and I was approved yesterday. The first two faxes had the same result as you did.

Basically I used their own language 'SEVERE FINANCIAL LOSS' all over my fax, saying that if I was not allowed to travel I would probably be fired from my job. (I have work-related meetings to attend).

It seems that they only scan the fax for one of the 4 reasons they are looking for, and send it over for processing.

My AP application date was Dec 3 and approved on Apr 20.

Hope this helps you. If you need your AP desparately, work on drafting another correctly worded fax and you will see approval in a week.

Thnx for the info.

Did you attach/include any documents supporting the reason? Thanks.

No, I did not attach any documents. I listed out the meetings that were scheduled and put in some language to explain why they were important to my employer. I included my bosses name and phone number, but no one called him.

I added that if I was prevented from traveling, I fear that my boss would look at appointing someone else to my position, leaving me with a possibility of no income ("severe financial loss").

Is your company a big company? I am just wondering if that had anything to do with it.
