Fax enquiry to check 485 status at CSC

Hey Gurus,

Here is my case history:

-140 approved 12/2001 for company A
-485 filed 2/02
-The company A was sold 12/2002 to company B. I stayed on with company B till 8/2003 and then moved to company C.
- Received Revokation of 140 in 07/03 with intent to deny 485 (reason: Company A out of business). CSC asked to submit AC21 and prove whether I have same/similar job
- FIled AC21 8/13/04. USCIS Website say received on 8/23/04
- Called USCIS, they said it takes 2 months to respond to RFE type submissions.

I want to send a written/fax enquiry if I hear nothing by mid October. Questions: (1) Is it worth it? (2) Can it harm the case in any way?

Quickly Enquiry doesn't impact approval, especially since u have already completed FP2[I presume] and finished RFE. Nothing to lose.

What documents did you send to CIS to prove you are doing a same/similar job?

I may be in the same boat as you after several months. The company's got some financial problem and may close at some time.
