Father's name on my Marriage Certificate

Hello family,

My biological Father died in 2006 which I stated on my DS260 application form.

However, on my Marriage Certificate I have a family friend who took me in as a Son and has played all fatherly role in my life for over 15 years since my Dad passed away.

Please can this be a big issue since I stated on my DS260 my Father died in 2006 but having a different name as a father on my Marriage Certificate?

Please advise.

Is your real father listed on your birth certificate?

Also suggest you change your username if that is your real email address. You can hit “report” on one of the posts to get a moderator’s attention to do that if you need to.

Actually Yes, my biological Father's name is on my birth certificate.

Then don’t overthink it, though it would probably be preferable if you can get a corrected marriage certificate
