Fastest speed in LA from sending in docs to interview?

Hi all
I've been looking at the timelines for los angeles, and I think I understand it, but I just wanted to double check.

I got married to a USC just under 2 years ago, and for various reasons we're only now getting round to making a greencard application (I am living in the US on an H1B visa). I understand that if by the date of the interview we have been married more than two years, the green card is full, rather than provisional. We'd therefore like to try to time the application so that by the time the interview comes round, we have already been married two years.

So my question is - what is the fastest time in LA that anyone has seen from applying for the greencard to interview? (So for example if the fastest time is 3 months, then we'll wait until 2 months before our second anniversary to make the application, to make sure that the interview will come after we have been married two years)

Thanks for your help

2 months before you should definitely be safe.

Look at my time line our interview is scheduled 96 days from date of filing
The sad thing is it is only 2 weeks short of our 2 year anniversary,We should have waited until the end of June to File. We are going to ask the IO if they can give us the LPR instead of Conditional GC since we would only be a couple weeks away from our 2 year anniversary and we have a baby together.

Thanks folks, that's just the kind of thing I wanted to check.. Sorry you missed the 2-year mark Addie.. I don't know if it's possible to reschedule it a little further out.

I'm amazed they're turning it around so quickly - looks like 90 days is about the fastest in LA, so as you suggest I'll wait until we're two months away..

Thanks for your help!

Addie,

I think you should definitely write them and postpone the interview.
I think it's worth it.

I think the fact that we have a date for the interview and our process so far has had no hold-ups/ delays or RFE's we are going to go ahead and go to the interview as scheduled and ask theIO if possible to grant us GC LPR , maybe even ask them to hol doff sending the GC until after our 2 year anniversary
If the 2 year marriage min. is a set law then we will just ask them to hold off on the approval date until the 2 year mark.

The reason we filed in June is we were told it would take 5 months.
We filed ourselves and our interview is 96 days from date of filing

Fast especially considering we are in Los Angeles home to one of the nations highest immigrant population.
I guess that being said Los Angeles is expereinced in the process, making it more efficient.

Unfortunately immigration officers are not authorized to do this - it is an issue of statutory law. There have been cases of people interviewed a couple of days before the date and still getting CPR. I dont wish to bring you bad news, but just so you know what the realistic situation is.

If you feel strongly about it you could postpone --- although I really would not recommend it.
