fastest route?

My ex-husband and I may be getting remarried. The first time we were married, I lived with him in Ireland, but this time, he would be coming here to the US with me and our daughter. What is the best way to go about it? Should we go through the fiance visa route? Could we just get married and then apply for a spouse visa, or would doing that cause complications for us? We just want to be together again, so what is the quickest way?

In my personal opinion, fiancee visa is the quickest way. The only part that I don't like about it is like asking permission to the goverment to get marry to whoever you want. BUT is a very fast way since he was your husband before and you even have a daughter, by the way did you register her at the Consulate? So she doesn't have any problem with her US citizenship later on.
Or you can marry there and then you must go back to the US so you can ask for him and he will be with you in around 8-9 months probably. It depends in how quick is the Consulate over there.
By the way you must like to go to www.uscis.gov that is the official site about US immigration.
Good luck,

Thanks. My daughter was born in Belfast, but she's been living here in the US for the last 3 years, and was registered, has a US passport, etc.

I appreciate the link. He'll visit one more time for a few months this summer, and if that visit goes as well as the one we just had, I'm sure I'll have loads more questions!!

Good to know. I heard about second marriages with the same spouse sometimes is way better than the first one, so I wish you the best.
Merry Christmas!

Has anyone had a different experience? I seem to have heard from a few places that the fiance visa is fastest, but has anyone had an experience to the contrary? Thanks!
