What is the quickest way for me to get to live and work in Canada?

I have a degree in architecture, im 25, british, speak, rear, write fluent English (of the non-canadian variety.. eh! :D ) ... have 18 months of work experience in my occupation between the 3rd and 4th year of my degree and a further 18 months post graduation (4yr BSc in Architecture) work experience. I'm currently living and working in USA on H1B Visa. Also have family living in Canada (uncle, aunt, cousins).

Thanks for any responses... I saw some 2yr processing times so that has me worried

The quickest way to work and live in Canada is to get a job and a work permit.

The other way is to apply for immigration which takes almost 2 years (From US currently). Check the following website to see if you qualify for immigration under the skilled worker category.

So... what kind of time frame would there be in getting a workpermit?

Permanent Residence is very appealing but 2 years is a bit of a long wait... Ideally, I'd like to be living and working in Canada by Sept 1, 2005.

Thanks for the advice thus far.
