I am a Malaysian Citizen and has been married to my husband (from Taiwan) for several years. My husband has became citizen recently and wanted to sponsor me for greencard. I have been on H1B for several years now.
We just found out the faster way to get my green card and I am not sure this is true or not..if it is, then it will be great!!
As far as I know, US Embassy in Malaysia accept I-130 from US Citizen to sponsor their immediate relative. We plan to fly back to Malaysia to file I 130 and do consular processing. Waiting time for I-130 file in US is between 8 months to 1 year, but filing I 130 and doing consular processing at the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will probably just take a few weeks.. I guess.
Anyone has done this before or know anything.. please post your advice!
