Hi,
I am a U.S. Citizen and currently in the process of concurrently filing I-130 and I-485 for my mother who is 79 years old and is currently in the U.S. Form G-325a (Biographic Information) requires that she include information for her parents and their date's of birth. Since they were both born in undivided India (now Pakistan) in 1800's we do not have any information or, birth records for them. My questions are:

1- On the G-325A form should we leave the space blank for their date's of birth, as we do not have accurate information?
2- Is it advisable to submit a letter along with the G-325A from my mother stating the same?

Please advice.

Regards

I had a similar situation.......I have had no contact with my birth father since I was very young and no one in my family knew his exact birthday, so I just filled in this section 'not known' and it was accepted without any issues.

Surely she has an approximate idea of their DOB? Write "approx. 18__" (fill in the blank with the best approximation she can determine) and she'll be OK.

Greetings to all:
If I don't have the date of birth of a previous wife and no way to contact her, should I leave the space blank or write "none" or "not known". Thanks in advance for your help.

It would look very strange if you don't know at least the year of birth of your ex-wife. You won't be able to get away with "unknown" so easily, especially if you obtained your own green card through marriage to her.

I'd like to confirm one more similar case and say Thank You to you guys. I was read this thread on March and filled parents information of my Dad form with the "approx. date" and it was approved.
