Family Based GreenCard for Sister

Hi,
I am a USC and am interested in applying for a GC for my sister aged 27 not married and living in India.
1. How long does for her to get GC if I file for her directly.
2. Would it be faster if I file for my father in which case he will get it in 6-7 months and then have him file for her with his GC status? How long does this take?
3. Can I file for my father if I am living outside of US currently.
4. My father has a 10 years multiple vistiting visa, is it better to file for him while he is in US or while he is in India?
5. Will my fathers vistors visa get affected by filing for Green Card.
Thanks

if your sister is married, your dad cannot file until hes a usc; if shes not, he can file and it would be much faster then if you file for her.

It would be almost the same time 11+ years, unless your father becomes a citizen after 5 years of being a permanent resident, in which case the wait would be 6+ years.
You can check out the current bulletin here: http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3143.html.

Thanks Anahit, for the reply. uscis.gov site specifies that fathers can apply for unmarried children even with GC status. Do you know how much faster will it be in that instance. Also can I start the process for my father while I am outside US?

I already told you: It would take the same time as you applying for her (look at the chart for priority dates). The difference would make your father becoming a citizen (note that your sister can't get married until your father is a citizen, otherwise his petition will be cancelled). That would shorten the wait for about 5 years.
