Have you walked into the FP center BEFORE (1-2 weeks) your date (on the FP notice) and gotten away with fingerprints ?

I know for a fact that they allow this for the CITIZENSHIP based cases.Hopefully there isn't any restriction for family based filers(?)

Trying to see if I can speed up my wife's journey with this nitro boost...which seems to be the only thing a petitioner can dictate based on dates.

Well, when I did my FP, I was send to wait because I was about 1 hour too early. My feeling is that it depends on the exact place you are trying to do it. There is certainly no harm in trying. Either way, I have a feeling it wouldn't speed up anything. I don't think it's the fingerprinting that's holding things up.

Yes, it does happen. I did it. One of the better experiences in this 'journey',:p . I went 1 month before I was scheduled. Arrive early and be the first there. Can't hurt to try. But I must warn you!!! USCIS is going to get you back and make you SWEAT!!!:p :p ;) . On a serious note, it is definitely worth the try.

I did it once and they took me, It was for an EAD. It was a Friday afternoon and they were slow actually, maybe that's why they let me in. Recently they've been hiring contractors, like in Washington DC, staff at the application support center are Northrup Grumman employees. One of the reasons, you hear people saying that everybody was nice to them at the Immig office is because contractors dont wanna lose their gov't contracts. But I hear people having problems with the door security people at the DOs.
