Falsified Documents - Penalties

I'm concerned about someone who is here in the US on a student visa and had altered documents using a relatives name to work full time. Are these serious implications? or is it something minor that will most likely be over looked.
If investigated can they be deported> what is the investigation process? Would INS go to their job? Home? Please advise anyone

a friend of a friend advised both the INS & FBI over a month ago. And this person is still working. How long is the investigation process? and what do they do when they investigate?

The INS has many many things to do these days. So who knows when they will get to the report. The best thing for your friend to do now is to quit working and speak to an attorney about possible remedies.

Obviously it is a serious violation !!!!!!!!!!

First, he will be JAILED for couple of years

then he will be DEPORTED

No way to recover.................I think

From my understanding of the posts from the original poster, it is not his friend who's working illegally, but rather a friend of a friend reported it.
