I failed to receive I140 approval notice
I applied for my I140 on 07/17/2002 and I485 on 10/10/2002. My I140 got approved on 07/10/2003. No FP yet. The online status says that a approval notice was mailed on 07/10/2003. Unfortunately my laywer has not received it yet.
I called the National Service Centre. I was told to request a duplicate copy of approval notice by filing form I824. I was also told that it is taking an year to process this form I824. If that be the case, I will receive my duplicate copy only after an year. I cannot contact my lawyer directly. We have a point of contact in our company, through who we send and receive info from lawyer. She is saying nothing to worry.... and to wait for some more time.
Anyone knows what I should be doing in this situation?

Thanks in advance

same here

I applied on 8/26/02 and got approved on 8/14/2003.Still waiting for approval notice.By the way it is TSC .Which is your service center.Adviced to apply for I824 that takes 1 year. didnot do concurrent filing,so how can i now apply for I485 without the approved notice ? do i have to wait for the dulpcate ie 1 year, or there is any other way?

Soma,
Mine was from TSC as well. Where else can you have something like this. Your best option would be to apply I-485 concurrently. All you need to do is attach the I-140 receipt notice to your I-485 app. Provided if you have that. Just in case if you haven't gotten your receipt yet, you can use a print out of the status web page. Ask your lawyer. He should know. I wouldn't even doubt for a second and still wait for the approval notice If I were U.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally received my I-140 approval after 2 months and 13 days.

Long pending I-140 .....

I filed my I-140 on June 2002 (did concurrent filing). It has been 15 months passed. I did called BCIS and asked for an enquire, But I didn't get any feedback. Does any body know how to enquire about my I-140?
My attorney sent two written enquires about my case, still no reply from Texas INS or from BCIS.
