F2B filed (i130) what to expect?

Hi all,
I am a new LPR but my daughter is over 21 and so missed out on a visa via Diversity. I submitted my i130 two weeks ago and the Gov charged me. I haven't heard anything since. Can someone with experience let me know:

What are the next steps or do I assume the date I submitted the petition is the date that her visa will be processed?

Is there an automated update on the F visas I can subscribe to like the dv visas - either a mailing list or telegram channel etc. Just so I don't have to check the website every month/year.

Thanks in advance.

The date you filed the I-130 is the priority date (PD). You need to wait until a visa number is available for this category and priority date, in about 7-10 years, before she can immigrate. She cannot get married until she immigrates (or at least not until you become a citizen), because there is no category for married children of permanent residents. (And even though there is a category for married children of citizens, it is a longer wait.)

In the meantime, the I-130 will be approved in a few years and be sent to NVC, where it will sit and wait out the remaining years until a visa number becomes available.

Got it, thanks. So nothing more for me to do then it sounds like. I thought I may get some kind of notification confirming "this is your date" etc.
