Hi,

I am GC holder and filled I-130 for my wife on april 22 2013. I received a letter which indicates that her case is approved and sent to NVC on august 6th 2013. She is living out of the US. Do you have any idea how long does it take from now to get into the interview since the F2A is current now. Thank you so very much.

I received an email from NVC on 09/11/13 regarding the DS-261 and AOS payment. Wish all of you receive these things soon.

We are in same boat !! My wife is India and 31 October they transfer file to NVC .. How long it takes from here to interview ??

It would take around approx 3 more months from here to Interview arrangement. Once the case is transferred to NVC they respond in nearly 1 month asking for AOS fee and documents. They review it in around 1 week and then next correspondence will be for DS-261 (Choice of Agent, online form) then later you will have to submit Immigration Visa fee and IV application (online) and supporting docs (hard copy). I prefer you do everything online except for AOS supporting docs which for most countries still have to be submitted in hard copy. (I wasted nearly 10 days in this as I initially submitted AOS supporting docs electronically and later NVC requested my to submit them in hard copy)

Once NVC reviews all the supporting docs submitted alongwith IV application and found them ok they schedule interview date approx 1 to 2 months later depending on where actually filed the case. During this period I think you will have to get the medical done and then appear with the results in sealed envelope at the embassy. Later processing is very uncertain and depends purely where your case was filed.

Hope this helps. I suggest you get all supporting docs ready ahead of NVC request.
