Hi,
I am currently on a F1 visa. My fiancee is currently in India. Since I am unable to take a vacation and go to India for my marriage, I am thinking that probably my fiancee can visit the U.S on a B2 visa. We can then get married here in the U.S.

Does any one know of people who have gone through a similar situation and if we do this what is the process for my wife to get her status changed from B2 to F2 ?

Any information or guidance is much appreciated.
Thanks.

Close to Impossible

My friend that seems like wishful thinking....but get a touch of reality. The US consulate in India only by a stroke of miracle does issue B2 visas to single un married women who want to visit the US.

Read all about it in the various B2 visa pages for the number of rejections. I have also experienced this first hand when my sister wanted to join my parents to visit me here. My parents got a VISA but my sister was promptly rejected reason - Single unmarried.
