Hi All

I got lot of useful input from this site. I would like to share my visa experience.

My wife's F2 was rejected from Chennai consulate on 9th Mar, 2003. She applied at Chennai because she is from Hyderabad and I was not aware that Chennai consulate is rejecting 95% F-2 visas at that time.

I was on OPT. My employer did H1-B premium processing 'Without' my PhD Diploma. Applied on 9th June (receipt date), got approved on 10th June.

Since, I m from Bombay my wife applied for H4 at Mumbai in her second attempt and got her H4 without any problem. She applied 'without H1 Stamp' on my passport.

I would like thank who helped directaly and indirectaly specially Ginnu and tt_tt (dont c his replies nowadays).

Hey Raj,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Do you have any idea as to how H1B Stamping is in Mumbai Consulate. I am a F1 -> Opt -> H1 candidate and I am going to Mumbai for the visa stamping.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Raj,

Was your H1B done on the basis of your undergraduate degree which I am assuming you got from India because you said that your PhD was not competed yet when the processing was done. Please let me know,it would be useful.

Thanks

Two weeks back my friend got F1 > OPT > H1 without any problem..in fact he used the drop box at that time and got his visa..

according to new rule i think we have to appear for personal interview for F1 > H1..so dont know the present status..

My H1 was processed based on MS in India..my lawyer told me that as per her experience they dont create too much fuss about these things during H1B PREMIUM processing..

I had submitted my official trnascript and letter from univ abt my status and that helped..

i assume u r studying here!
