I am a Canadian citizen who will be starting a Master's program in the US. I've already had an F1 previously for my undergrad but I went back to Canada for 1.5 years. Now I got married, but my wife is from India. To get my F1 stamped, all I have to do is go to the border and show them my papers. But what do I need to do to get my wife an F2 so she can come to the US with me? She is a Canadian PR currently (around 1 year). Can I take her to the border with me and will they stamp her passport there? Or do I have to make an application at the US Embassy in Toronto? Will they allow me to go in there with her as the primary F1 person?
