Applying for green card and F1
1) I am curretnly on H1B visa and plan to (but am not 100% sure) go for MS in USA. Will it hurt my chances to get F1 visa if my employer applies for green card on my behalf? Am I safe if only labor has been applied, and no later stages (485 or 140) have been applied.
2) If my employer grants me study leave for 2 years and does not
terminate my employment while I am in school, (and will not cancel the green card application), will it help me with getting F1 visa? In fact do I still need F1 even though I have a valid H1 (and I am on unpaid, long leave)?
