F1 visa: the budget options

Hello,

I have a situation where I need to find a way to stay in USA legally, while waiting for my GC-husband getting his citizenship.

Seems like the easiest option is to get F1 visa.
Currently my education level is Bachelor in Business Administration and Masters in Finance (both in EU).

I started looking for English schools or community colleges, and it looks like this option is going to be a bit costy - like 1000 USD a month. Since there is only one person working in a family, I'd preffer something more affordable.

Maybe someone knows any "shortcut"?
Or maybe there are really cheap language schools or community colleges in NYC/NJ area?

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

There are no shortcuts to a green card. You must get in line like everyone else. Your GC husband can file for you; the wait is 5 to 6 years. He can upgrade once he obtains citizenship.

You do not qualify for a student visa as you are not permitted to have immigrant intent for that visa. You need either an L1 or H1B visa. Look at the USCIS website for employment based visas. You are in luck if you find an employer quickly; the filings for Oct 1 start date began on April 1; there is likely more visas available in the quota.
