F1 visa rejected twice, applying for third time

My F1 visa has been rejected twice at Chennai consulate, reason being insufficient ties to home country. Now I got the I-20 changed to reflect additional funding, this means there's a change in my situation.

I am planning to apply for the third time, this time from New Delhi office, when I try to get visa appointment using VFS website, and the moment I mention that in last 6 months my visa was rejected twice, it gives me dates after six months.

I did some research on the net and have not seen any official site which says that one cannot apply for next 6 months, if his/her visa was rejected twice in last six months. As per some of the site, everyone is eligible to reapply 3 days after the previous rejection. If this is rule then why does VFS site shows me dates after six months?

Anyone to shed light on this?

Goodluck to all applying for US visa.

On what basis they said insufficient ties to your home country.

I think if parents and most of the siblings are in your home country then that should indicate sufficient ties with your home country.

Did you ask specifically what was the main reason?

The online website shows dates after six months if the visa got rejected twice in last six months. So try taking appointment by going to VFS office in person.

Try some other consulate. I heard it is though to get visa from Chennai consulate.

Good Luck.
