I need your suggestion. I have got rejection for F1 visa at chennai on 08/10/2007. The reason gave is insufficient parents income. The I-20 amount is $32k.

I have shown Rs. 35 lakhs as liquid assets. And the mother income I have shown is Rs 4.8 lakhs. The officer told, the income is insufficient to cover my expenses.

How can I rectify the financial situation before I go for visa..

Can I show more cash in the bank?

Or show more parents income?

Or show a loan for 10 lakhs?

Any help is appreciated..

Thanks for your reply. They asked for $32k per year which is total of $64k for completing the course. I have shown $89k as cash and 4.5 lakhs as anual income. If add a loan for 10 lakhs and increase the income to 6.5 lakhs, does it cause any issue when you go to the visa next time. Thanks again...

I would like know how can I handle the situation after getting rejection based on financial issue. Please share your experience if you have faced this issue.

The interviewer might not have even realized that the lakhs you had would convert to more than $64K, or may have doubted that you had the ability to convert enough of it into US dollars. So convert the rupees into a US dollar account with $64K in it. Then emphasize that you already have the cash for the whole thing, so income isn't as important.
