F1 Visa - No dates

Hi,

I have been offered admission by three univs with full funding. Only one has sent the i-20. I decided to wait for the others to come since I was more keen on one among those. Now I find that all the days are full and the earliest day available for Visa interview is in late Aug, by which classes would've already started.
What do i do?? Plz advise.
 
See if you can talk to the consulate in your area by either mail or fax for the expedite interview. If your interview is setup by the end of August and there is nothing they can do to fill your request, send information to school in US. You have 2 options:

1. Come to US even the classes are going on session. You probably will miss few classes, and if you think you can cover it, you are good to go.
2. Wait for next session, I don’t know if the School in US runs in quarter or semester. If its quarter system, you can come join them in winter. Otherwise you have to wait till spring. If you want to take second option, you have to return your I-20, asking them to re-issue for the next term.

I am surprised that visa dates are full.
Normally for a F1 visa, you get interview date within 1-2 days. Its only for other categories, that u need to wait for a long period

check with ur local US consulate. sometimes they give earlier date for interview if u mention special case. say that the I-20 got delayed which was not ur fault. they may give you an earlier date for interview. there's no harm in trying. you can send them an email for this.
 
where r u currently?i mean in india?
if yes, then see if u can apply for a Visa at the US consulate at Bombay.
Im sure here you will get a date easily.There seems to be less rush here ,esp for student Visas.
Students r getting dates in a duration of 2 -3 days too,this is as on now .
