Hi, I was in Ph.D. till Sum’10, but recently my committee rejected my written qualifier. In this situation, I applied into master program and in a community college for some undergraduate credits. I got admission in both, but I chose to finish my some general credits by joining community college so that I can get physical therapy license for Virginia (I already have license for New York) and become eligible to claim for a better PhD. position and planed to get back to Ph.D. Lack of general education credit was stopping me to claim for such Ph.D. positions. However, meanwhile I met to the master coordinator to hold my admission in masters for spring, so that I can either come back o master or if fortunate enough will get admitted in Ph.D. Now, I want to visit to India in coming December. Although, I have F1 visa valid till Oct’2012, but I am scared that when I will be coming back to US, the immigration department might send me back to India from port of entry, as I transferred myself from Ph.D. to undergraduate community college. Can anybody tell me if there is any chance that I could be stuck at the port of entry? Please help.
