F1 Visa - I485 Pending - Traveling on AP

Hello All,

I have just completed my masters on F-1 student Visa, mean time my husband filed GC and now our I485 is pending - i want to travel out of country.

Will i be able to travel on my Valid F-1 visa and re-enter on same ??
OR
Do i have to use Advance parole..

I came to know that F-1 student visa automatically invalidates when I485 is pending ??? :confused:


Please help .

You would need AP, and would need to get it while you are within the US. Otherwise your I-485 would be considered abandoned if you leave the US without getting an AP. This is clearly mentioned on the instructions for Form I-131.

Does anyone know if the student has to ask the school to remove him/her from the SEVIS system, since now the AOS (with AP) is filed and F-1 is no longer valid?
 
Will my F-1 gets invalid once I485 pending ?
I did receive AP and EAD.. my international student advisor and lawyer told me that once you have EAD you dont need to file for OPT..

do we need to notify as my 485 is pending ?

please clarify.
