F1 Visa Expires

So my situation is where my visa expires in October 2020 and I complete one year of OPT in Jan 2020. I’ve already applied for an extension and waiting on response. My employers won’t do a H1-B for me this year owing to licensure that I require to get him apply for H1 for my field. What are my options and can’t I extend F1 visa with effective and valid OPT status for the next 24 months?

You cannot renew your visa in the US. Visa renewal is handled by US embassies and consulates outside the US and visa is just a piece of paper that allows you to enter the country. It is not your legal status in the US. You need to wait until you get your OPT extension, travel outside and then go to a US embassy in your country to get a new visa, which I strongly advise you not to do. You cannot prove to the officer that you have no immigrant intentions and there is a high chance that they will deny your visa.
