F1 Visa Continuity ???

Hi guys,
One of my friend, she was on F1 visa and her visa extension application
sent to incorrect INS office.

By-the-time INS sends application back, around 2 months last.
When her application sent to correct INS office, INS sends a denial,
because of lack of continuity of visa.

Now she is a big hole.
Is any body is having any idea what to do?

When my wife had to extend her F1 Visa beyond the date mentioned on the I-20, she filed the extension with the school\'s ISA and not the INS. Did you send the extension to INS on the advice of your ISA? If not talk to your school\'s ISA and see what they might have to say. Worst case, you may have to across the border (Canda/Mexico) to get a new I94. Don\'t worry, it should be easy to straigthen the matter except for the time and money involved.
