F1 visa at US consulate -New Delhi

Hi,

My brother recently got admsison for pursuing masters degree in a good ranked university in United states.I am worried regarding his visa stamping at US consulate New-Delhi

I am a permanent resident of United States and am wondering if this would in any way hamper his visa approval as my GC status shows an intent in family to immigrate.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Nowhere in the Student visa application they ask for family members details.
Also if somebody's brother is in US that does not prove anything negative.

In fact it does, DS-156 non immigrant visa application asks:

Are Any of The Following Persons in The U.S., or Do They Have U.S. Legal Permanent Residence or U.S. Citizenship?
Mark YES or NO and indicate that person's status in the U.S. (i.e., U.S. legal permanent resident, U.S. citizen, visiting, studying, working, etc.).
YES NO Husband/Wife
YES NO Father/Mother
YES NO Fiance/Fiancee
YES NO Son/Daughter
YES NO Brother/Sister

F-1 visa requires that the applicant show no intent of immigrating to US and having a relative in USA does not help towards that requirement.

I also have the same question. My brother will be applying for F1 visa at delhi consulate soon and I am here on Green Card.

So, is my presence in US on green card going to have a neagtive impact on his F1 approval?

Other than that, all his supporting documents look good with required funds from parents to sponsor his education

Can they reject his visa just because I am here as this shows intent in the family to immigrate?

Can someone please share their experiences.

thanks
