One of my friends is trying to get an F visa for higher studies in medical field. One of the requirements that he mentioned to me is that there should be someone in the United states to provide financial support in case if he is not able to support himself.
Is it acceptable if I provide an Affidavit of support ? I dont know how acceptable that will be when I am just a friend of him. Also I am here on an H1B visa. Could someone knowledgable let me know what are the requirements to provide an "Affidavit of support"
