I have been working on an H1 visa for the past 3 years, recently my company was overtaken by GD so they filed for a H1 transfer which is still pending. I got an offer from a university for an MS and I want to pursue that degree. I also got a Teaching Assistance offer which starts on the 1st of September. My first question is that if I file for COS then can I still make that deadline?
I had entered the US on an F1 visa for an MS and after completing that MS I went for a PhD in 2004 and got an F1 stamped from delhi. That was my last visa stamping. I abandoned that PhD for my current job but now I want to go back to school.
My second question is that if I were to go to India for Visa stamping then would asking for a Visa for higher degree(PhD) earlier affect my chances of getting a visa for an MS?
