Hello everyone,
I have a question for you all and I would really appreciate if somebody could help me out in this.
I came to US on a F1 visa and in between went through special registration procedure and was given a FIN number as well. This month my status has changed from F1-to H1B.
Now I understand that certain NSEERS conditions have been withdrawn but others remain like departure interview etc.
My question is that am I required to inform DHS/USCIS about the change in status from F1 to H1? or they already know about it as visa status change was given by them.
I asked my scholar advisor at university and he said he was 98% sure that I don't have to inform them but he will ask and let me know. Unfortunately he has not responded back and I contacted local USCIS office and nobody takes the call there.
Please let me know if you know anything about this issue.
Thanks
