F1 to H1 without completing MS degree -- Urgent, Please help

Hi all,

I have an appointment in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico next week. So this is pretty urgent.

I came to US on F-1 for MS, but haven't finished my M.S for technical reasons. I finished all the coursework but didn't defend the Masters thesis. In the mean time, I got H1 issued and have been working for the last 6 months.

Now I really have to go to India in Dec. Would there be a problem at the consulate because I didn't finish my degree?

Other than this problem, everything else is perfect - big company, no gaps in status, good GPA all through, etc.

Please advise, as I know no one who has been to consulate in my situation.

Thanks a bunch in advance,

N

Dude Nothing to worry.
I was also in the same Boat.Just take all the Documents, MS trascripts and undergrad transripts, Letter of employment, Latest Pay stubs and tax reports,
H1 paperwork etcetc... But if they ask tell them that you will be defending it 3 months from now. Dont Panic its no Big deal. As long as you have all your paperwork correct, everything will be OK. and Remember during the interview only answer the questions they ask, and nothing more.
Good Luck.

Thanks

Thanks Rammy...since you are telling from your personal experience, it's very helpful information.

Thanks Rammy for encouraging reply. This is useful to me also.
BTW, when you said tax documents, what exactlly were you referring to ? I dont have my tax documents with me; but, I could get a copy of them from INS. Would they suffice ? Please let me know.
