I came to US on F1 and completed my studies, my OPT expires on Jun 30 2004. i have a job and my employer filed for H1 and yesterday we got the approval from USCIS. the new approval takes effect from Oct 1st 2004. my question here is how can i avoid going to my home country(Pakistan) for visa stamp and come back on oct 1st and start working.
as per recent changes in the visa rules, i think every one who applies for a visa has to go through finger printing at the US consulate overseas. can this finger printing be done here in US. how many days i can stay legally here in US after my OPT expiration date.
