I have been really stupid and did not apply for OPT on time. I spent 1 year in the US and actually wants to go back because I got a job in Europe for September.
My problem is that I need to extend my stay for only 3 weeks more than the grace period because I registered to sit for a bar exam in the US and need to complete it before I go back (one of my employer's requirement).
So I'm left with only the possibility to change from F1 to B1 or B2 status but I don't know if it will work since I benefit from the waiver program as a turist. So my questions will be
1) is it possible to change from F1 to B1 or B2 to stay here to pass an exam?
2) if yes which supporting information should I file with the i-539?
3) If my request is denied, what "immediately" means? Shall I leave the country within a day, 2, a week?
