F1 Terminated - how much time to correct data

Hi:

My F1 was terminated due to withdrawal letter sent to USCIS sent a year back.

DSO has raised ticket with SEVIS to update the data, but he says it may take few weeks to months to fix the data.

Is there any way to expedite the process?

Please advice.

Do you know which Service Center is handling the case? If so, call them and find out. Not everything can be expedited, and my hunch is this is not one of them. Have you asked your DSO whether they could expedite it? Also, I am puzzled as to the question. Are you currently in the US studying at this school? Did you DSO tell you to go home or continue your study while this is getting fixed? If your studies is uninterrupted, then just check in with your DSO every now and then and make sure something is being done.
