F1 student trying to decide on interview time

Hi there,

Thanks to everyone who has been helping people out in the forum, just a couple of questions. I am a EU2008 winner case number 192**. I am currently studying in the us. This is my last semester and I am graduating in May 26. I got the second package and they assigned me an interview on April 29th in Ankara, Turkey. It so happens that week is the week before exams so I can techinically leave but I need to be back by May 6th. (I have 1 week after the interview)

Do you think it is worth it to go and get it done with or should I wait after the graduation in June?

What if something goes wrong during the interview (like background check) can I still travel to US with my F1 status?

I would not risk to pospone the interview. As you wrote, if you go in June to the interview and run into a bavkground check, which can take long, you risk your GC.
